Requesting Repeat Prescriptions

EPS ( Electronic Prescription Service ) makes it possible for your prescriptions to be sent electronically to the pharmacy or dispenser of your choice. This means you'll no longer have to collect a paper repeat prescription from your GP practice – instead, you can go straight to the nominated pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor to pick up your medicines or medical appliances

You can request you Repeat medication:

  • Online: Using Patient Access (Log-in here or get info on how to register here)
  • Through your registered Pharmacy
  • By post*

Repeat prescriptions will be ready in 48 hours from your request

Please note if your request is not for a repeat prescription or for different medication than recorded on the system,  it may not be possible to agree to your request,  it might take longer to process and/or the doctor may need to speak with you.

Please note:

We can’t accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone. This reflects a change in local policies.

Medication reviews:  are an integral part of providing safe and effective care for our patients and you will be asked to attend promptly for yearly medication reviews. Please respond to any prompts you receive in this regards.

*If you require your repeat prescription to be posted to you please include a self-addressed & stamped envelope along with your prescription request.

Our Repeat Prescribing Policy concords with rest of the NHS Greenwich CCG; a copy of this can be found here.
