I have just finished yet another extremely helpful, professional, thorough, informative, empathetic and reassuring phone appointment with Dr Gawn, (of the Valentine Health Partnership). There are several more superlatives I could use to convey further just how much I feel valued and listened to after this conversation. In these difficult times such an appointment, when responsibly and respectfully conducted, (as is invariably the case with Dr Gawn) can be a great fillip to one’s mental health. Thank you Dr Gawn, (and all the other NHS medical professionals) who have recently been so tireless in performing their difficult jobs with such patience, proactive intelligence, (and occasionally indulgence) in my case. Your continued resilience and calm, practical decision making are most impressive, clearly therapeutic and very much appreciated.

Although the wait time was a little long on the phone getting through, the receptionist was very nice, polite and made me feel like i was listened to. My appointments were booked in easily and she explained my appointments clearly with confirmation text message to confirm.

Excellent practice. I cannot fault anything, having used the practice for nearly 4 years now. I see how incredibly busy everyone is and the extreme pressure they are under, but I have always been able to get an appointment within a reasonable timeframe, and gotten letters and medication when needed urgently. The reception staff are always accommodating, helpful, friendly and polite. My husband and I have typically interacted with 2 particular GPs, both very kind and supportive, always helping us towards better health. I am delighted to be able to use this surgery and very, very grateful for all their support and help.

I have no complaints with the care and support the surgery has provided. Receptionist have shown empathy and have been so professional.

I would just like to say that Paula one of your receptionist has to be the most politest and helpful person. I have dealt with in a long time. nothing is to much trouble. she go out of her way to help everyone she can.

I called through to get an emergency appointment and Paula was nothing short of AMAZING. She was relatable, compassionate, a good listener and competent at her job.

I have to feedback on my experience with the receptionist that answered my call. I’m gutted I didn’t get her name however she provided a perfect friendly service and was able to help me right on the spot with my problem. She was very patient and overall had perfect customer service skills.

Was only three in cue yesterday afternoon. Spoke to Linda…fortunately due to herself and the quick communication to the on duty doctor I was able to get my prescription within half hour. She was very supportive and truly understanding. I give the most loveliest helpful knowledgeable Receptionists a 10/10 Linda and Sori. I would give 9 just so they stay as good as they are and no ones perfect but felt for me they both were. Thanks so much. Thank you all

The services are excellent thanks

I’ve been with Ferryview Health Centre for the last 11 years. I’m always very pleased with the service given by the GP’s and from the receiption staff. Especially Lisa in this occasion has been brilliant.For some reason I was taken off from the system.She re-registered me very promptly. And on the same day she managed to give an appointment with a GP.

Last few calls made to Ferryview have been quick albeit the long queue on the phone to get through but that usually in the mornings – my queries were dealt with quickly and very courteously…I have a feeling it is the same person- Paula? She’s always willing to help not acting as if one is wasting her time ..

Took a week for me to finally get through as the was such a queue on the telephone line. I had tried using the E-consult form but every time I got to the end I was told to make an appointment via the telephone and so it started all over again. When I finally called again this afternoon I was 4th in line I hung on and what a breath of fresh air it was when Tori answered the phone. She was professional at all times and arranged a telephone consultation for me in a matter of minutes. She is a real asset to the Practice and definitely a keeper.

As always your receptionist was polite, professional and empathetic. They do a great job.

The service by the Receptionist Laura was excellent. She even went out of her way to wish me a happy birthday. Laura explained to me the options available and gave me the best and suitable appointment available to me. All round excellent and very professional service

I had reason to call the practice today to book a blood test and as always the receptionist was very helpful friendly and efficient. In my 57 years of life I have never come across such a lovely practice.

When I call I love to hear where I am in the queue. I seem to talk to Linda or Laura who are always very helpful and put me at ease. The doctors I talk to, listen and talk back to me in a way I understand. Some times I fill talking to someone at the surgery makes me have a better day/week and takes a lot of the focus of my pain.

Paula and Linda are the nicest and most helpful receptionists. I have found that when I phone or attend the reception in person they seem interested in helping me. Not all receptions have such a kind manner and it really makes the difference.

A lady Paula spoke to me on the phone today about booking an appointment and she was very very polite in talking to me and offered viable advise. A thank you to her and she should keep it up

(..) Although Paula was extremely busy, like all the Reception Team are always busy, nonetheless Paula took the necessary steps and made sure, to find an effective SOLUTION to my ongoing problem. And Paula also phoned me informing , my Prescription was done & sent to my Pharmacy on Friday ! So, huge thank you to Paula, that through the years, has always been an excellent professional, striving to better herself by tirelessly doing the best for us patients, with efficiency, clarity, patience, compassion, kindness, understanding, everyday working harder , always finding solutions, not resting until all is done and at the same time been friendly & supportive. Paula you have taken off tons of distress, anxieties, anger , physical & emotional pains from me! Thank you !

I like the service. All members of the staff are friendly. The doctors are professional and try to help in different kind of ways. I missing the appointment face to face, because has more connection between doctor and patient.

She has supported me through a very difficult time in my health and I really want to acknowledge this. Also the receptionist Paula. I don’t know her but everytime I call and she’s the one on the other end, I must say she’s very empathetic and tries to help to the best of her ability in getting whatever issues I call with resolved. I know being front line in the surgery isn’t always fun. But I wanted to thank Paula who was a wonderful credit to the team this morning over the phone, booking my appointment. In a world where it’s too easy to feel like an insignificant cogg in the big wheel, it’s so valuable to have human connections and contact. I wanted to thank the team from the bottom of my heart, because as a whole, both reception side and GP side, it’s always been a helpful, supportive and friendly response that I have received from the team. So thank you. The past two years have been so trying, and I can only start to imagine the strain that has been felt and put upon all NHS reps. You are all brilliant at what you do and ferryview/Holburn Rd surgery have always been helpful, polite and bosses at fulfilling your jobs. So hopefully in contrast to all the heavy negativity, here’s a huge warm positive thank you. And thanks Paula for the giggles this morning!

I have always found the reception and doctors at this surgery to be very helpful and happy to help. How they get through so many calls per hour I will never know.

I’ve got my door open at HRS – listening to Paula and Laura B on the phones. ‘Have a nice weekend’ – this should be a standard sign off phrase for all recep and clinicians on a Friday. Such an easy thing to say to patients at the end of a call and makes them feel valued/cared for 🙂

After expecting an hour’s wait on hold, my call was answered within 30mins and the lady I spoke to was very polite and helpful. Excellent first impression

There was some confusion with my GP enrollment, (..) Called Valentine Gp Practice and my Goodness It was Paula at the reception. She figured it out within few minutes, called me back and made sure to make an arrangement for my appointment. I am also an NHS worker and know how challenging it can be , but Paula’s patience and professionalism was something exceptional… Few more people like her, and the world will be a heaven….. Cheers…
